Major companies such as Electronic Arts and Ubisoft are betting on blockchain games to accelerate adoption

Our love for gaming led us to host a website and Discord channel for the BG community (http://blockchaingaming.com/). Playing all these games and being part of guilds across multiple metaverses taught us to distinguish between valued assets and duds. Our success investing and supporting early-stage game developers encouraged us to form the BGF – to bring blockchain gaming assets to a mainstream market.
Our market psychology: In each market in which we engage (token / in-game asset), we are active players and guild members, so we understand how value is derived to their elements.
In the actively-managed fund, we focus on adoption rates of new and emerging games, and we analyze the drivers of price historically. Using a mix of subjective gamer intuition and data analysis, we aim to generate optimal risk-adjusted alpha and protection overlays for our investors. In the passive-fund, we allocate assets to long-term holding of select mid-sized & emerging game tokens or other resources (such as land, that pays a fixed amount on a predictable schedule).
The differences in complexity management and accounting are reflected in the fees & holding periods.
Our ethos and mission:
Operate with integrity and transparency and have fun! We are a tight knit team of maths, business and data people, and all childhood friends whose bonds formed over the 90s era video games.
